Across the Street, A short story
I've noticed some strange activity going on with the new neighbors across the street. For instance every night about 9:30 pm Someone leaves the house. This person returns about 20 minutes later. Also they are apparently in the carnival business. Judging from the various trucks that show up in front of the house throughout the summer. There are many children of various ages in that house. But none of them mow the grass. They hire that job out to a equally strange group of people. When I'm outside and one or more of these people come out, noone will look my way. I wave every time they go by but don't get a response. I think they have something to hide. The husband seems to be gone for days at a time. Only then will the wife be outside for any length of time. Right now as I look across the street there are two cars in the drive way and no movement what so ever. These people have a house dog which they put out in whatever weather for hours at a time. I may update this story if new information becomes available. So check back if you have interest. My email is ishoff@verizon.net
